“Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31) If something as basic as eating and drinking can be done for God’s glory, shouldn’t the education of our children also be done for the glory of God?

Years ago, I wrote out our homeschool vision statement knowing that God’s glory should be our ultimate goal. Here’s what our family’s homeschool vision statement is:
To raise and educate children who love the Lord with all their hearts and minds, who are equipped to defend their faith, and who are dedicated to using the gifts and talents God has given them to serve and bless others for the glory of God.

The challenge for me was figuring out how to educate my kids for the glory of God. How do I create a God-centered homeschool?
Thankfully, God’s Word has the answers but the practical application of those biblical truths found in Scripture are sometimes hard to apply. That’s why I was so thankful for men and women who had gone before me in this homeschool journey. Their knowledge and wisdom helped me put the truths I found in Scripture into practice.
And that is why I am so excited to share about the upcoming God-Centered Homeschool Summit! It’s an online conference that will help you reorient your everyday homeschooling around God.
The event features over 20 exclusive video sessions with world-class speakers who will share their wisdom with one purpose in mind: Bringing the power of the Cross to the messiness of our homeschools for the glory and praise of God.
Each day focuses on reorienting your aim in a specific zone:
- God-Centered Parents: Personal humility and repentance are the keys to leading our children to the King.
- God-Centered Teaching: Develop a worldview of education that reflects the beauty of the Gospel and the grandeur of our God.
- God-Centered Curriculum: Worship God in every educational niche, from math to science and everything in between.
- God-Centered Calling: Give your children a high call for a mission that will outlast this world.
The entire event is FREE if you sign up by Monday, April 5th, and in addition to the video sessions, you’ll also get access to an online exhibit hall (with exclusive discounts and freebies) and a private Facebook group to connect with the Homeschool Summits community.
The God-Centered Homeschool Summit is going to have lots of great speakers but I’m most excited to hear from Rosaria Butterfield, Ken Ham, Renton Rathbun, and Tedd & Margy Tripp.
