See all of the IEW products that I have in my latest YouTube video. And check out my favorite products from IEW here.

Hello Janelle-
I am curious how your kiddos did moving from IEW to BJU Press high school english? Were there any gaps? Did you feel they were well prepared?
My kids who did IEW and then moved to BJU English did very well with the writing portion of the BJU curriculum. However, they struggled a bit with the grammar section of BJU English. I think the struggle was for three reasons: 1. BJU English is heavy on grammar (which my kids were not used to), 2. BJU English uses the proper/technical terms for grammar which my kids were not as familiar with after using IEW’s Fix it Grammar and 3. we did not get as far in the Fix It Grammar curriculum compared to where they were jumping in with BJU. It wasn’t that there were gaps with IEW rather that it was two different ways of teaching and learning grammar that made the transition a little challenging. Hope that helps.
