Episode 10 | Is Homeschooling More Than You Can Handle?
In the early years of homeschooling, I was overwhelmed with the task of educating my kids at home. I felt like I was failing my big kids and neglecting my little ones. I was losing my patience and becoming easily frustrated. And I wondered, is homeschooling more than I can handle?
Perhaps you are wondering the same thing. If so, this podcast episode is for you! We are answering the question, is homeschooling more than you can handle? And then, we are diving into some practical ways to homeschool in the Lord’s strength and not your own.
How to Homeschool In God’s Strength
- Read God’s Word.
- Apply the truths of God’s Word to your daily struggles as a homeschool mom.
- Allow God to reveal sin in your life.
- Prayerfully ask God to reveal ares in your homeschool where you need to make changes and put some practical tips into practice.
Verses Mentioned
- Psalm 19:7-10
- Psalm 119
Take Action!
- Read Psalm 119 and jot down all the blessings that come from being in God’s Word on a daily basis. Look specifically at verses 9, 11, 24, 28, 52, 54, 93, 111, 165, and 174.
- Spend some time in prayer, asking God to reveal specific areas of sin that are affecting your homeschool or your parenting. Repent and ask God for His forgiveness. Ask God to help you live out the truths of His Word in this area of your life. Trust that God is faithful to forgive you of sins and cleanse you from all unrighteousness.
- Ask God to show you practical things that you can change in your homeschool or life.

Hi Janelle,
I want to let you know that your podcasts have been so encouraging. I am new to the homeschool scene, and have found it such a relief that I don’t have all the answers, and neither does any other mom out there, but God does. Thank you for what you do. Your time and effort in producing content is well spent.
