Third Grade Homeschool Curriculum Choices
I can’t believe my youngest child is heading into third grade! This will be my seventh time homeschooling a third grader and I’m pretty excited about our third grade homeschool curriculum choices for next year.
Bible
This year I will be using Bible curriculum from Foundation Worldview to teach my 3rd and 5th graders. We will be working through the Studying the Bible video-based Bible curriculum. I’m excited to try this curriculum out!
English
My son will be finishing up the English 2 curriculum from BJU Press this upcoming school year. It has been an easy introduction to writing and grammar. He will also be finishing up the BJU Press Reading 2 curriculum while continuing to work through All About Reading. For spelling, he will continue working through All About Spelling. I’ll also have my son spend a few minutes each day practicing his penmanship.
- Finishing English 2
- Finishing Reading 2
- All About Reading
- All About Spelling
- Penmanship practice each day for a few minutes
Heritage Studies and Science
My 3rd grader will be using BJU Press Heritage Studies and Science this upcoming school year. I’m purchasing the online option for him so he can enjoy the video instruction and I can take advantage of the prescheduled lessons. I love that each of these courses is only one semester and that I can buy them in a combo package from BJU Press. Two for the price of one!
- Heritage Studies 3 (World Regions)
- Science 3
Math
My youngest kids have done well with BJU Press math so my upcoming 3rd grader will move on to BJU Press Math 3.
